The foolproof way to delete mail from your server to keep mailbox sizes within bounds and yet never lose a message!
For the last 3 years our Customers have been able to keep control of their mailbox sizes and yet keep their users happy. Mail does not get lost, back-up times are short and the mail system is stable. This includes Nashua North, 5 branches of BDO Spencer Steward, Birkart Logistics, and many more.
Messages are automatically secured to disk and indexed as they are handled by your mail server. So irrespective of any action your users take, the message is always available and can be retrieved quickly and easily. This allows you to delete from the server all messages that are say, 90 days old and reduce the size of the message store without fear of losing anything.
A 1U rack-mount appliance controls the securing to disk, the indexing of the content and the retrieval of the messages. The actual email files can be stored on any network share, be it CIFS (Windows) or NFS to save you spending money on storage that you may already have. We can offer you cost-effective Network Attached Storage appliances if you would prefer.
Pricing is based on the number of mailboxes and can start as low as 25. The price includes installation (in Gauteng), configuration and 12 months maintenance, software upgrades, support and hardware warranty.

How can an organisation remain within the law controlling retention of email, without lifting a finger?!
The ECT act demands that electronic documents be treated in the same manner as paper ones. So if a VAT invoice is sent or received via email and no other copy is made, that email must be retained for 5 years according to VAT legislation.
Our Customers are ECT compliant through using the our email archiving appliance, and they don't lift a finger! All messages without exception are automatically secured to disk at the same time that they are delivered.
But, not only has the email to be stored, it has also to be quickly produced if SARS or the Courts so require. Finding a paper invoice by its number is not too difficult, but with the email system things are not so well catalogued.
Because the Archive appliance indexes all information in the email, finding a specific message is quick and easy. By simply providing available details such as date received/sent, recipient/sender address, subject, message body content (e.g. invoice number), etc, a list of likely candidates is presented and can be previewed and the correct one retrieved. This time however, a finger does have to be lifted, slightly, to comply with legislation!

We have discovered how to recover from email server crashes in record time!
Let's face it, all email servers crash either partially or catastrophically sometime during their lifetime. It means long hours for the IT guys, irate users and let's not even talk about the one email the MD needs that can't be found!
The most time-consuming part of recovering a crashed server is restoring all the mail, and it is then that we find out if the back-ups have been working properly!
This is where the discovery we made, saves pain, time and even jobs. We found that if mail is stored away from the email server, it is immune to server crashes.
